Dr. Burnett is originally from North Vernon and graduated from Jennings County High School in 1974. He attended Indiana University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980. He began to practice in North Vernon in January 1981. Dr. Burnett is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA). He has served as the president of the Board of Directors of St. Vincent Jennings Hospital and as a member of the Jennings County Community Foundation Board and on the Lilly Scholarship Selection Committee. He is a member of the North Vernon Rotary Club and continues to be actively involved in the community. He resides in North Vernon with his wife Beth and enjoys model railroading, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Broadus was born and raised in North Vernon and graduated from Jennings County High School in 2007. She received her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University in 2015. Dr. Broadus is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association. She is also a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) and specializes in vision therapy. Dr. Broadus volunteers for numerous events in the community and is a member of the Women’s Giving Circle. She enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends. She resides in North Vernon with her husband Devon.

Jacob Yunker

Dr. Yunker was born and raised in Maysville, Kentucky. After attending medical school at the University of Louisville, he completed a residency at the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he was selected by his fellow residents and the faculty as Chief Resident. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Diseases & Surgery with Retina Consultants of Alabama, PC. Dr. Yunker is an avid basketball fan, and his hobbies include running, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

Kristopher Pugh

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Butler University, Dr. Pugh earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Clarian Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, before receiving his residency training at the University of South Carolina, where he was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Pugh and his wife returned home to Indiana in 2007 to join Dr. Black’s Eye Associates. He strives to tailor surgical outcomes to meet each patient’s lifestyle needs. When Dr. Pugh isn’t busy helping his patients see life clearly, he loves spending time with his wife and four children, traveling when ever possible and endlessly cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
